BRIEF ON THE PUBLIC HEARING AT THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ON THE DEGREE CERTIFICATES EVALUATION SUSPENSION FOR BENIN AND TOGO
1- All Parties were present at the Public Hearing:
- The University Stakeholders and Legal Committee, The Petitioner
- The Federal Ministry of Education (FME), The Respondent
2- The Federal Ministry of Education explained the actions they have taken to reverse the suspension.
3- The Federal Ministry of Education has once again, requested the Togo Ministry of Higher Education and Research to forward the updated list of accredited institutions in Benin and Togo through Diplomatic channel.
4- The Evaluation of authenticated Degree Certificates will resume immediately the Federal Ministry of Education receives the updated list of accredited institutions from Benin and Togo.
5- The NYSC will follow up, as all graduates from accredited institutions, who successfully received their evaluation letter from FME will be mobilized this year.
6- The Public Hearing Committee approved the date of 9th April 2025 for the next hearing, to ensure effectiveness of the Federal Ministry of Education clarification steps taken to reverse the suspension, and any other matter arising.
